Water Cycle
We are very busy this year working towards our third Green Flag on the theme of ‘Water’. Fundamental to all our studies on water is an understanding of the water cycle. Classes from 1st – 4th have been looking at the life cycle of water, and in particular, the important processes of evaporation, transpiration, condensation, precipitation and collection.
1st and 2nd class had great fun exploring, investigating and analysing the different stages of the water cycle through a simple, but effective experiment.
3rd and 4th class created a beautiful classroom Water Cycle display – outlining the key stages in the cycle.
Our Green School Notice Board this month was dedicated to facts on the Water Cycle. Each blue card had a question – asking students to SWAT the correct answer. Thanks to Conor and Orla in 4th class for designing the Water Cycle mobiles. Well done to students in 2nd class for creating the Water Cycle wheels. They are very effective.
