Chuir na páistí fáilte mhór roimh an luathcleasaí Thomas Barr inné, nuair a tháinig sé go dtí an scoil i gcoinne an Clár “Dare to Believe”.

Fifth and Sixth Classes warmly welcomed Irish Athlete Thomas Barr to the school on Tuesday 26th November as part of their engagement with the “Dare to Believe” Programme (https://www.daretobelieve.ie/).

Thomas began by giving a short presentation on his sporting career to date and the many trials and tribulations which a professional athlete can face. He helped the boys and girls to complete a page in their activity book and helped them to focus on goals that they can set for themselves in the areas of school, home and social.

After break, Thomas engaged the children in a number of cooperative games and answered their many questions on his lifestyle and sporting choices and decisions.

We look forward to following Thomas’ career and to cheering him on to a medal in the Tokyo Olympics 2020.
