We are delighted to welcome our 20 new Junior Infants to St Fergus’ National School this week! With just a few tears, the boys and girls entered their classroom to be warmly welcomed by their teacher Miss Niamh Walsh. After parents left and the initial first day nerves vanished, the children enjoyed their very first day of “Big School” . They took a tour of the school, enjoyed their first Sos Time and got a chance to play on the school playground. Each and every one of them skipped out the door at 12pm, with a certificate to prove that they lasted the pace of the day! Well done to all. Here’s hoping the next 18 years or so of schooling will be as happy!
Thanks to John Hogan (Board of Management of St Fergus’ N.S.) for taking the photographs on the day!
