The Junior Infants have been learning all about ‘The Farm’ this month and, today, were treated to a very special visit from local Farmer James O’ Donovan. The children loved to hear all about the many jobs James does on his farm during the very busy season of Spring. It was especially nice to hear about all the calves that are being born and how James makes sure each calf is warm and cosy in some fresh straw. The children were very eager to hear the stories James told them about life on the farm when he was a little boy. He also gave them some very useful advice about staying away from slurry pits and big machines when on the farm. James also enjoyed answering the many questions the boys and girls of Junior Infants had for him about the farm and heard all about each child’s favourite farm animal. A special ‘Thank You’ to James for coming to visit us and bringing our learning about ‘The Farm’ to life.
