Celebrations were the order of the day in St Fergus’ National School this evening as members of the triumphant Glin Rovers Soccer Team visited the school with the two cups. Red and black were to be seen at every turn and the children were delighted to welcome, Conor Sheahan, Michael (Stacky) Stack, Pádraig Costello, Gerard Riordan, Karl O’Sullivan, Seán Lyons, Fergus Fitzgerald and Brian O’Donovan of the winning teams.

On behalf of the pupils, staff and Board of Management of St Fergus’ National School, we extend our congratulations and well done on all the hard work to the Glin Rovers “As” and Glin Rovers “Bs” on their historic doing of the double at the weekend. This is the third victory in the league in 48 years! A proud day for the parish and hopefully we will hear more from these terrific players in the future!
