Last week, the staff of St Fergus’ N.S. suggested to the pupils that they might like to make a lovely Easter Bonnet for the day of the Easter Holidays and that we would have an Easter Bonnet Parade as part of our Good News Assembly on Friday 27th March. The results were astounding! From Junior Infants to the Staff Room, the idea just seemed to strike a chord with people and they ran with it. We can honestly say that it was one of the most successful and fun events that we have run in the school over the last few years. As you can see from the pictures above, parents and children put 110% into the project. All life forms were to be seen, from eggs to chicks, from daffodils to daisies, from sheep to soccer balls. The sea of colour in the Halla would lift your spirits and everyone went away with a smile on their face.
It was a very difficult project to judge and thank you to Geraldine for doing this for us. Each class had a prize winner. Well done to Seán, Zuzia, Agata, Georgia, Cian, Keela, Dawid and Eoghan. Each child also got a mini mallow egg for their efforts.
Thank you to all of the parents and children who participated in our Easter Bonnet Parade and keep the ideas rolling in, we love to hear them.
On behalf of the Board of Management and Staff of St Fergus’ N.S. I would like to take this opportunity to wish you a happy and blessed Easter. Beannachtaí na Cásca oraibh go léir!
