Today’s Assembly was “gate crashed” by 2 clowns-Brian and Peter from the charity “Clowns for Haiti”! It was an Assembly to remember! They came to collect the 65 pencil cases that the boys and girl of our school had so generously donated to the charity. This ensures that many of the children in the schools in Haiti would have them for Christmas.
It was fabulous to see the enjoyment and excitement on the faces as the two men performed their tricks and jokes both on and off the stage. Everyone got a great laugh.
Thank you to everyone who again gave so generously and supported this simple, yet highly effective cause. Thanks also to Conor and Pádraic who faithfully collected and organised the pencil cases each day since we began collecting them.
